The greatest tragedies in our Christian experience are orchestrated by the fact that Christians are ignorant of who they are, what we have been and the great love with which God loves us. I want you to pay attention to the fact that we are created and loved by God who is the most merciful, most powerful, most influential, most prosperous, most faithful and most gracious God and Father of all creation. God did not create beings that will be tossed and trashed by life’s situations and circumstances. God created beings who will subdue life and cause it to multiply to their benefit and advantage. God created beings that will replicate His sovereignty and might over all creation. That is why creation was made to be subject to the redemption of the children of God.
The son of wickedness was created by God but destroyed by rebellion. The son of wickedness is included in the list of the creatures that are subject to you. That is why the psalmist by prophetic insight says His enemies will not defeat him, nor will the wicked overpower him. I will beat down his adversaries before him and destroy those who hate him. My faithfulness and unfailing love will be with him, and by my authority he will grow in power. I will extend his rule over the sea, his dominion over the rivers. And he will call out to me, ‘You are my Father, my God, and the Rock of my salvation.’ (Psalm 89 – NLT) Those who decided to make themselves your enemies this year will be destroyed. God is the Rock of your salvation and you must consciously, intentionally stand on the rock that never fails this New Year. Let your
